Programs

We provide the proven programs and expert support to help disadvantaged and/or at-risk adults and young people overcome stress, heal trauma, raise performance, and, in the process, transform their own lives, the lives of their family members and the whole community.

What We Do

We deliver, onsite, the practical, scientifically-proven Transcendental Meditation technique to at-risk and disadvantaged populations who need it most, empowering them to heal themselves of toxic stress by calming and enlivening their minds and bodies.

Who We Help

Research shows our programs can help everyone. Globally, the David Lynch Foundation is currently working with students attending under-resourced middle schools and high schools, veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress and their families, accident victims dealing with post-traumatic stress and women and children survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. At the same time, we work with adults and teens who suffer from substance use disorder, those who live with HIV/AIDS, and guards and inmates in correctional institutions.

Schools

DLF's educational program is called Quiet Time and offers free TM instruction and support to students in disadvantaged schools. Two 15-minute periods of TM each day help improve students' readiness to learn. Research shows that meditating students are healthier, happier and have better grades and higher test scores than before. Scientists, doctors and top educators call Quiet Time revolutionary in its ability to reduce school violence, raise academic performance and save futures.

In the U.S. the David Lynch Foundation Australia will partner with VA hospitals and veterans service organisations to not only bring relief but also to save lives.

Women & Children

In the U.S., the Women's Health Initiative helps women and children survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to overcome trauma and increase self-empowerment. Studies show that the Initiative is twice as effective as conventional approaches for reducing alcoholism and substance abuse and twice as effective as other relaxation techniques for decreasing anxiety.
